This Is Your Brain On... Nokia?

About 10 years ago, cell phones were relatively new in the U.S., and not nearly as ubiquitous as they are today. On one occasion, I loaned mine to a friend to make a call. While the line was ringing, he wanted to know if this would be frying his brain. Naturally, I said "Yes."

Now, here's a guy whose brain was saved by a cell phone. We all hate drivers who talk and (try to) drive at the same time, but in this case it may have been a lifesaver. Andre Stein was driving his truck outside Johannesburg in South Africa, when a hijacker opened fire on him. One bullet aimed at his head was actually stopped when it hit his phone.
