Eating Fish Hurts Their Feelings

In a move that is clearly long overdue, PETA has launched the Fish Empathy Project. According to the Fish Empathy Project manager for the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, Karin Robertson, 24, and daughter of an Indiana fisheries biologist, "Fish are so misunderstood"..."Fish are intelligent beings." Poor little fishies!

PETA can always be relied on to make me laugh. I especailly loved their campaign against the chickens in KFC who were being killed unethically. WTF, over?

PETA actually goes one step further and says we "murder" animals. I have to disagree; we "kill" them. Besides, until there is written law that will convict someone of murdering an animal I will stick to calling it "kill".

I saw this story on Cavuto today and the PETA representative couldn't even keep a straight face when explaining his logic to Cavuto.

But couldn't their logic be used against them? When we pull a carrot up from the gorund aren't we murdering it then? Plants breathe, have systems to carry nutrients to plant, and grow and mature during their lives. What is the ethical difference between killing a carot and a crappie? PETA, you suck.

South Park hit the nail on the head
