Homeowner Arrested For Shooting Armed Burglar

This sort of nonsense actually goes on in England. I'm surprised it hasn't been happening in Cloud Cuckooland, aka Washington D.C. The Hit & Run blog points to an article on Brainwash in response to an NPR piece about Washington's "gun safety laws." I can't find said story, but there are others, particularly on by the misnamed civilrights.org.
